To further promote Shandong and Jinan’s culture globally and foster cultural exchanges and mutual learning among "Belt and Road" countries, Jinan held the "Everlasting Friendship Through Mutual Understanding" Springs Culture Photography Exhibition at Samarkand State University in Uzbekistan on December 15. The event invited local students from Samarkand to experience the profound charm of Jinan's subtle and everlasting springs.
The exhibition aims to objectively introduce Jinan to the world and promote Jinan’s distinctive spring culture. Jinan, with its rich history and cultural heritage, boasts over 1,000 natural springs, each with its unique charm, and seventy-two of them are renowned. The springs converge to form Daming Lake, a poetic and picturesque landscape, while the city is crisscrossed by 136 rivers, including the Yellow River and Xiaoqing River. Serving as a unique cultural symbol and the city's calling card, Jinan's springs, with their clear, dynamic, and beautiful variations, flow through time and space like a vivid painting. Through a series of photographs, the exhibition showcases the diverse and colorful world of Jinan, the City of Springs, to audiences both domestic and international.
The "Corner of Chinese Culture · Nishan Library" serves as a cultural exchange platform that will aid scholars, students, and the public in Uzbekistan in gaining a deeper understanding of Jinan's history, culture, and social development. This cultural exchange holds significant meaning for the dissemination of culture and fostering friendly cooperation between Jinan and Samarkand.
