From February 20 to 21, Jinan welcomed a distinguished group of visitors—an inspection delegation composed of 29 Indonesian travel agents. Traveling from afar to the "City of Springs," they embarked on an in-depth exploration of Jinan’s rich cultural and tourism resources, aiming to uncover collaboration opportunities and expand the inbound tourism market. This tour was a key initiative in implementing the province’s consumer-boosting strategy, particularly the "International Consumer Expansion Project" and the "Inbound Tourism Service Enhancement Action Plan." The goal is to strengthen inbound tourism consumption, position Jinan as a leading destination, and encourage the return of overseas spending.

On the afternoon of February 20, the travel agents attended the “Spring Jinan” Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference. At the event, digital tour guide "Yu He" made a surprise appearance, vividly introducing a range of inbound tourism experiences, such as "Exploring Jinan Through Poetry," "Discovering Jinan in Cultural Relics," and "Roaming on the Clear Springs of Jinan." The dynamic Baotu Spring, the elegant Daming Lake, the profound Buddhist heritage of Thousand Buddha Mountain, and the historic charm of Mingshui Ancient City left a lasting impression on the Indonesian visitors, offering them a uniquely immersive journey through the cultural essence of Jinan.

During the subsequent field visits, the travel agents toured Mingshui Ancient City, Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, and Thousand Buddha Mountain. At Baotu Spring, they were amazed by the gushing water and eagerly took out their phones to capture the spectacle. Strolling along the shores of Daming Lake, they were enchanted by the poetic scenery of "lotus on four sides, willows on three, a city of mountains, half a city of lake," as the gentle breeze brushed their faces. At Thousand Buddha Mountain, they experienced the profound richness of Buddhist culture. As night fell, the travel agents, dressed in traditional Hanfu attire, wandered through Mingshui Ancient City, immersing themselves in Jinan's historical atmosphere. The breathtaking light and shadow display created by a swarm of drones in the "Spring Show" performance left them deeply impressed.

Huang Yongqing, General Manager of Indonesia’s Asia Holiday Travel Agency, expressed his excitement: "Jinan’s cultural and tourism resources are incredibly rich and complement Indonesia’s tourism offerings very well. In particular, the payment system is highly convenient—credit card payments and currency exchange are available at scenic spots and hotels, making transactions effortless. This tour has given us a completely new understanding of Jinan. When we return, we will actively promote Jinan to Indonesian tourists, encouraging more people to visit and experience its unique culture and scenery."

It is reported that, to enable foreign tourists to explore a wider range of travel experiences and engage more deeply with tourism products beyond simply checking in at popular attractions, Jinan has coordinated with relevant departments to install 293 inbound tourism POS machines for foreign card payments and set up 19 foreign currency exchange points. Additionally, all four-star and five-star hotels now fully support international payments. These efforts aim to provide a more refined and internationally compliant payment convenience service for the expected large influx of inbound visitors.

Jinan is actively implementing the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's inbound tourism promotion plan. In collaboration with 15 departments, including the finance and commerce bureaus, the city has formulated the "Measures to Accelerate the High-Quality Development of Inbound Tourism in Jinan." The plan introduces 13 measures across six areas, such as optimizing visa and customs policies and enhancing the convenience of inbound travel services, to increase support for inbound tourism and create a high-quality service environment. With the implementation of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, Jinan's inbound tourism market continues to grow. Seizing this opportunity, the city has introduced the "Measures for Implementing the 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy in Jinan," precisely targeting the interests and consumption habits of travelers from major source markets such as South Korea, Japan, and Singapore. A range of "Spring Jinan" inbound tourism routes focusing on springs, cultural heritage, and cuisine have been launched. Additionally, Jinan has actively promoted itself overseas and invited multiple travel agent delegations for on-site inspections. The invitation of this Indonesian travel delegation marks a key step in Jinan's expansion into the Southeast Asian tourism market, reinforcing and increasing the scale of inbound visitors to China while enhancing their travel experience and satisfaction.

Looking ahead, Jinan will continue to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia, hosting "Spring Jinan" international promotion events, enhancing global publicity efforts, enriching inbound tourism experiences, and innovating international communication. The city will encourage cultural and tourism enterprises to promote Jinan in Indonesia, cultivate and support leading inbound tourism enterprises, improve inbound tourism convenience services, expand overseas visitor markets, and optimize the inbound tourism environment. These efforts aim to attract more international tourists to Jinan, boosting global cultural and tourism consumption and stimulating new momentum in the international tourism economy.
